About Us

The Heart of Gold for Autism Charitable Foundation was founded by parents of a child on the autism spectrum who was non-verbal but can now speak.  We understand the journey and we know the associated costs.  We know too that sometimes, even with consistent therapy, it can take months for a single breakthrough because we have been there.  It is not an easy road but we can travel together, stronger.

We have experienced the complete hopelessness that comes with an autism diagnosis. It was overwhelming and devastating to be told of all the things that our child would never be able to do. No one told us how critical therapy was at that time.  But now we understand and live with the hope that has become possible with therapy.  Over the years, we have witnessed the power and benefits of early consistent therapy and what it has done towards maximizing our child's potential.

We started this foundation with a hope and a prayer to be able to help alleviate the financial burden on families with loved ones diagnosed with autism related disabilities. Our goal is to provide annual grants to help cover the cost of medical therapies and various other aspects of supporting a child with autism. We cannot do it alone but, together, we journey towards this goal for them.

We will stay strong, committed and hopeful in our continuous journey together for our children. This is not an option. It is the Plan A, B and C through Z. We must give our kids with autism the opportunity to learn to do the basic things which many of us take for granted everyday.
